Phoebe is an active community volunteer, advocating for parks and quality-of-life causes in Houston for over thirty years, receiving awards, appointments, and recognitions for her work as a philanthropist and preservationist. Notably, she founded and is currently Chairman of the Astrodome Conservancy. Phoebe has also led notable boards throughout the city, including the Houston Ballet and Hermann Park Conservancy. Arts and education have also been one of her lifelong passions. Phoebe’s extensive work with local organizations resulted in special recognitions and selections to arts and education committees by the two previous Houston Mayors.
